Lexington, KY (April 22, 2026) - The United States Dressage Federation™ (USDF) announced today that it has expanded the criteria for induction into the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame to allow for the inclusion of entities.

Until now, only persons and horses were eligible for Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame induction.

Beginning in 2026, entities established at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination that have made outstanding, significant contributions to the growth, development, quality, popularity, accessibility, and appreciation of the sport of dressage in the United States, and that have demonstrated longevity of excellence in their role within the sport, are eligible to be nominated.

“The expansion of the induction criteria to allow for entities establishes an avenue for recognizing the farms, facilities, organizations, and other such entities that over the years have made equally significant contributions to American dressage as the humans and horses that have previously been inducted,” said USDF Historical Recognition Committee chair Jennifer Bryant.

“With so many organizations, farms, facilities, competitions, and others that have contributed to USDF and American dressage's rich history,” said USDF president Kevin Reinig, “it was important that USDF find a way to acknowledge their contributions. I have the utmost faith in the Historical Recognition Committee’s ability to serve as the gatekeepers of these prestigious honors and preservers of US dressage history.”

This year's nominations for the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame, as well as for the USDF Lifetime Achievement Award and the USDF Member of Distinction award, are due in the USDF office by May 1, 2026.
