Riders must be between the ages of 14 and 21 years old. Riders ages 12-14 competing on ponies will also be considered for these clinics. Preference will be given to those competing in FEI Pony classes. All riders must have a USDF Youth Participating, Junior, or Life Membership. Riders must also have a USEF Junior, Senior, or Life Membership.
Applicants will be required to provide a URL link to a YouTube video of them riding their horse/pony. Videos do not have to be from a horse show or recorded in a regulation size arena. Videos should be recorded from the end of the arena at A or C. Applicant’s video should show a dressage test of the level in which they are currently riding, and should not exceed 6 minutes in length.
Declared riders should ride the appropriate Team Test (FEI Pony Team Test, FEI Junior Team Test, or FEI Young Rider Team Test). Applications must be received in the USDF office on or before the published deadline to be considered.
Rider registration is $300, which includes two days of private lessons, auditing, and two days of lunch-time theory sessions. A non-refundable $25 per horse and rider combination application fee will be due at the time of registration. Payment of the remaining balance of $275 will be expected within 10 days of selection and notification of selected riders in order to secure a rider's spot in the clinic. Rider Fee does not include stabling, hotel, transportation or food. Please note that a YouTube video of each horse and rider combination must be submitted to email@example.com prior to the rider application deadline in order to be considered for the clinic.
If the applicant is not selected to ride in the clinic, the $25.00 application fee can be applied toward auditor registration. At no extra charge, the applicant will receive a weekend auditor pass and will be permitted to attend all theory sessions with the clinic riders.
Riders who must cancel after the selection and notification date will receive a refund, minus a $25 processing fee, only in the event a replacement rider can be found by USDF. If no replacement is available, the rider will not receive a refund. Riders who must cancel due to medical or veterinary reasons may receive a refund if USDF is properly notified in writing, via mail or fax, including veterinarian or physician statement.
Riders applications must be received online by USDF no later than the deadline announced.
Auditors may pre-register up to 10 days prior to the start of the clinic they wish to attend. After that, auditors must utilize the walk-in registration system and pay an additional fee
