Rider Awards

USDF Rider Award are based strictly on the scores the rider achieves over time and need not be earned in one competition year. To learn more about each award, see the links below. Or, see our most current rider award recipient list.

Effective immediately, in addition to Intermediate I and II, Intermediate A and Intermediate B test scores are now eligible to be applied towards USDF Gold Medal Intermediate score requirements.

Rider Performance Awards
This award may be achieved at Training, First, and Second Levels. Please visit the USDF Competitor and Member Guide for more information.

Rider Award Medals
Rider medals (bronze, silver, and gold) are awarded based on attaining the required scores at the necessary levels. Please visit the USDF Competitor and Member Guide for more information.

Master’s Challenge Awards
An award to recognize riders age 60 and over, these awards span each level, Training through Fourth and FEI. Please visit the USDF Competitor and Member Guide for more information.

Musical Freestyle Rider Awards
After earning the respective rider award medal (bronze, silver, or gold), a rider is eligible to earn the musical freestyle bar by achieving the required scores at each necessary level. Please visit the USDF Competitor and Member Guide online for more information.
