The USEF Youth Sportsmanís Award was designed to develop leaders in the equine industry from all breeds and disciplines. Each year, USDF seeks nominees who demonstrate an ongoing commitment and dedication to both organizations through their promotion of the horse. Candidates should be accomplished equestrians, exhibit positive sportsmanship principles and serve as a role model for their peers. The chosen USDF nominee will be submitted to USEF for the national award.
The USDF national nominee will be submitted as a candidate to USEF for consideration as the overall Youth Sportsman's Award winner. The USDF national nominee shall receive a complementary one-year USDF participating membership. Should the USDF winner be selected as the overall USEF Youth Sportsman's Award winner, USDF will provide a complementary five-year participating membership.
The Overall Winner of the USEF Youth Sportsmanís Award will receive a commemorative trophy, a scholarship to be paid to the educational program of their choice, and a lifetime membership to USEF, and will also be nominated for the USEF Junior Equestrian of the Year Award.
