December 2-6, Austin Texas

Welcome to Region 9, and the Texas State Capital – Austin; where east meets west - geographically, and ethnically, with a diversity of music, food, and people.

Austin is the gateway to the Texas Hill Country - boasting 7 lakes, 206 parks, the University of Texas, and the summer home of the largest urban Mexican Freetail Bat colony in the USA. Experience music at the “Austin City Limits”, or the “6th Street” premier music scene, or one of the over 200 live music venues. Tour the state capitol, or check out “SoCo”- South Congress Ave. for a unique juncture. Visit the many museums, including the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, and try the fabulous restaurants that rival any metropolitan city.

Our host hotel, the Renaissance Arboretum Hotel is located on 95 acres in North Austin. It provides a tranquil environment surrounded by nature trails, sophisticated boutiques and shops, and a variety of restaurants all within walking distance.

We look forward to welcoming Jan Brink, who will wow us with 2 days of symposium at the climate controlled Travis County Exposition Center.

With a shortened convention schedule, come a day early, or stay a day late, invite friends and family, and join us for a unique, diverse, and unforgettable Austin adventure, where the “Stars are Big and Bright, Deep in the Heart of Texas”.
