Youth Programs Committee

Mission

To promote dressage to young equestrians while providing for the future of the sport.

Goals

  1. Provide educational opportunities.
  2. Provide recognition programs.
  3. Increase number of junior/young rider participants.
  4. Promote sportsmanship at the junior/young rider level.

Objectives

  1. Hold a successful USDF/USEF Young Graduate Program.
  2. Recognize youth by awarding the Youth Volunteer of the Year Award, Youth Convention Scholarships, Shining Star and High School Pin Awards.
  3. Continue to find ways to develop grass-roots education.
  4. Enhance current youth programs including the Youth Regional Team Competitions, High School Pin Program and the Dressage Seat Medal Program.
