  • Open Dressage: A score earned from a dressage class that was not restricted by breed and was not a Great American/USDF qualifying ride. Adult Amateur and Junior/Young rider status is not affected by scores being recorded as Open Dressage.
  • Qualifying Open Dressage: A score earned in a Great American/USDF qualifying class in which the qualifying fee was paid prior to the ride. Adult Amateur and Junior/Young rider status is not affected by scores being recorded as Qualifying Open Dressage.

General Information

  • Scores earned prior to USDF Lifetime horse registration date will not count towards year-end awards.
  • Scores are not recorded prior to receiving a USDF number.
  • Birth date MUST be on file with USDF to be eligible for Vintage Cup, Adult Amateur or Junior/Young rider awards. To be eligible for Adult Amateur Awards, USEF Adult Amateur status MUST be on file with USDF.
  • The owner is responsible for contacting the rider (if different from the owner) and checking and verifying all information presented on this score check.
  • All corrections MUST be received at the USDF office by 5:00 pm, EST on October 15. No changes to year-end awards will be made after that date.

All-Breeds Participants

  • If your horse’s breed/performance registry papers are not on file or if your horse does not appear to have an All-Breeds Declaration, please refer to the following link for complete declaration instructions http://www.usdf.org/awards/all-breeds/all-breeds.asp.
  • If your horse has breed papers on file, but does NOT appear to have an All-Breeds declaration, please contact horsedeclarations@usdf.org.
  • It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that an All-Breeds declaration has been made for his/her horse by August 1st; by periodically referring to the USDF Web site to confirm that a declaration has been made. Once a declaration has been made, it will remain the same for the lifetime of the horse, unless the owner chooses to change it.
