During their 2007 Spring Board Meeting, the USDF Executive Board approved a change in the testing format for all USDF Instructor Certification Final Exams at the Training through Second level.
Effective May 1, 2007, the following change to the teaching section of the final exam will be in place:
The group lesson and the private lessons will be scored separately. The group lesson will require a score of 70% or above for the Certified Instructor/Trainer and 80% or above for the Recognized Teacher categories to achieve certification.
Two private lessons will be taught, with a required combined score of 70% or above for the Certified Instructor/Trainer and 80% or above for the Recognized Teacher categories to achieve certification.
Candidates who do not achieve the requisite final exam scores will only need to retest any failed section(s). Candidates who did not achieve certification in the teaching section in previous final exams may now retest using this new format.
