Memberships Checklist for Competing at USDF Recognized Competitions

What I want to do and memberships I need:

All membership and horse registration requirements must be met at time scores are earned.

Ride in a USDF-recognized/USEF-licensed show (a show that is not breed restricted) in non-qualifying open, adult amateur, or junior/young rider (Jr/YR) class.
  • USDF owner/rider Non-Member (NM) number and per show fee
  • USDF Horse Identification (HID) number (one time number)
  • USEF per show Non-Member fee
  • USEF Senior Amateur Member or Non-Member Amateur Card (required when entering amateur classes only)
  • USEF HID number (USDF HID can be used)
Ride in a Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championship qualifying or championship class (open, adult amateur or Jr/YR class).
  • USDF rider Participating Membership (PM)
  • USDF Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR)
  • USDF owner PM or Business Membership (BM)
  • USEF Competing Membership
  • USEF Senior Amateur Member (required when entering adult amateur classes only)
  • USEF Annual Horse Recording
  • USEF owner Competing Membership
Earn Scores toward a USDF Rider Award.
  • USDF rider Group Membership (GM)
  • USDF HID (one time number)
  • USDF owner NM and per show fee
  • USEF per show Non-Member fee
  • USEF HID number (USDF HID can be used)
Compete for most Adequan®/USDF Year-End Awards (including all-breeds, adult amateur, Jr/YR, horse of the year).
  • USDF rider PM
  • USDF LHR
  • USDF owner PM or BM number
  • USEF Amateur Member or Non-Member Amateur Card (required when entering amateur classes only)
  • USEF HID number (USDF HID can be used)
  • USEF Horse ID Number (USDF HID can be used)
All above requirements are minimum requirements
  • Other membership categories or upgrades may be applicable.
  • GM is available through a USDF Group Member Organization (GMO).
