Adequan/USDF FEI Six-Year-Old Awards
Designed to recognize six-year-olds competing in dressage, these awards are given annually.
General Rules
- Must have a minimum of four different scores:
- From four different USDF-recognized/USEF-licensed competitions
- From four different judges
- Minimum median score of 6.5 or higher to qualify
Eligibility
- Horse must have a USDF Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR) when scores are earned.
- Rider must have a USDF Participating Membership (PM) when scores are earned.
- Owner must have a USDF PM or Business Membership (BM) when scores are earned.
- Memberships and horse registration begin when all application forms and fees are received by USDF. If joining USDF (including changing membership to participating status) or registering a horse at a competition, membership and registration begin the date of application. This date must be in accordance with USDF/USEF dressage division rules.
- For competition purposes, the age of a horse is considered to be one year on the first day of January following the actual date of foaling.
Recorded Scores
- All eligible scores are recorded, however, only the top two scores from each individual judge will count towards the median score calculation.
- The median score is the score exactly between the highest and lowest scores.
- Scores must be from the FEI 6-year-old score sheets that are current at the time of competition and earned at USDF-recognized/USEF-licensed competitions.
- Scores must be from open classes or from competitions/classes that have previous eligibility requirements for entry. (Restricted tests will count, except for novice, maiden, etc.)
Awards
- Certificates and prizes are awarded to the owner and will be presented at the Adequan®/USDF Annual Convention.
- Three awards will be given.
- All award winners will receive certificates sponsored by Adequan®.
- Champion and reserve champion will receive a commemorative plaque sponsored by Adequan®.
