Adequan®/USDF Pas de Deux Awards

Awarded at both the national and FEI levels, these awards recognize teams competing in dressage.

Requirements
National Level Award

Includes Training, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Levels.

• Minimum of two pas de deux scores at the same level.
  • From two different judges
  • From two different USDF-recognized/USEF-licensed competitions
• Average score of 60 percent in the pas de deux to qualify for the year-end award.

FEI Level Award

Includes FEI Prix St. Georges for Young Riders, Intermediate I, and Grand Prix Levels.

• Minimum of two pas de deux scores at the same level.
  • From two different judges
  • From two different USDF-recognized/USEF-licensed competitions
• Average score of 60 percent in the pas de deux to qualify for the year-end award.

Eligibility

• Both riders must have a USDF Group Membership (GM), Participating Membership (PM), or Intercollegiate/Interscholastic Membership (IM) and be members in good standing of USDF at the time scores are earned.
• Horse owners must have a USDF GM, PM, IM, or Business Membership (BM) and be members in good standing of USDF at the time scores are earned.
• Horses must have a USDF Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR) when scores are earned.
• No horse/rider substitutions are allowed.

Recorded Scores

• All scores must be earned at the same level to be eligible.
• If only two scores are recorded, they are both used to calculate the average.
• If more than two scores are recorded, the top 80 percent are used to calculate the average.
• Scores from restricted classes (with the exception of breed-restricted) will count towards year-end awards median score calculations.

Awards

• Awards are presented at Adequan®/USDF Annual Convention.
• The top three teams from all national levels combined, (Training, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Level) will receive personalized certificates from USDF for the national level pas de deux award.
• The top three teams from all FEI levels combined, (FEI Prix St. Georges for Young Riders, Intermediate I, and Grand Prix Level) will receive personalized certificates from USDF for the FEI level pas de deux award.
